Bible Offline KJV + NIV + NLT
Bible Offline KJV + NIV + NLT is an application software that works offline so that you can read about God's word even if you do not have internet connection. This application includes multiple versions of the Holy Bible and provides a verse of the day function which gives you a new verse each day to contemplate.
You can filter Bible Versions by Name, Abbreviation or Language. Then you can select the Version you want. You can also change the Language if you want to. When you select a Version, the list of Books and Chapters displays. Select a Book or Chapter and you will be shown the text in that Bible Version. If the version you selected has audio, a speaker icon is displayed. Selecting the speaker icon will display controls for play, fast forward, rewind, scrub and more.
The NIV is an excellent modern-language translation that strikes a balance between formal and dynamic equivalence. It leans toward dynamic equivalence when the original text demands a more thought-for-thought translation to make the meaning clear to contemporary readers. The NLT is a paraphrase and leans toward the readable side of the translation spectrum. It is a good translation for beginners and for those who do not have a strong Biblical background to help them get started reading the Bible, but it should be used in conjunction with a more word-for-word translation as one grows.
The NKJV is based on the same manuscripts as the KJV, the Received Text, minus the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books. The NKJV is closer to the word-for-word translation than the NIV and NLT.
